Back is the funky ex-flower

Remember spending the day riding bikes with your friends as a kid? You didn't really have a destination or plan, you just kept going. As we get old these types of experience become much less common or nonexistent at all. As we age we trade these experiences for work, family, and everything in between. We miss out on what was once our favorite thing to do because we must be adults, we must follow the same road as others. Fuck that, take the detour.

"Be there at 5am".

On this day the alarm started ringing at 4am. Wake up, shower, take the dog out for a walk, get in the car, drive. 5am meetup at a closed Starbucks with 25 miles of open road in front of us. 5 friends spending a Sunday morning doing what they love to do most... drive. We found a pristine stretch of beach and watched the sunrise while talking about everything from what's going on in our lives to why seagulls are the rats of the sky. After an hour or so we headed to Toast in Asbury Park to grab a typical Jersey breakfast with flair ride some electrical scooters. We were all home by 11am to spend the rest of the day with family.

Balance is key, there's nothing wrong with doing what you love as long as you're not hurting anyone in the process. Text the friend and take the drive, you'll never be disappointed.
